Obituary for Janet C. Parker (Cloud)
Janet C. Parker of Mantua, New Jersey, died on May 8, 2021. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Miranda Cloud. While living in Philadelphia, she was an executive secretary. When living in Mantua, Janet taught third grade for twenty-five years for Mantua Township Schools.
Predeceased by her husband, Richard, she leaves her children, son Bob Parker and his wife, Ann and daughter Judy Rausenberger. Janet was a loving grandmother to Dan (Aubri), Jenny (Cory), Whitney (Zach) and Derek (Morgan), and a loving great-grandmother to Gavin, Bridget, Charlotte, Shiloh and Owen. Also survived by her brother Chester Cloud and his wife, Edie. Predeceased by her sister, Nancy Miller and her husband, Hugh. Janet loved being with her family and friends.
Janet had many interests: teaching, games, especially bridge, puzzling, Tuesday Niters dinner group, reading, jokes, gardening, anything creative and a multitude of cherished friends.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am. Private burial for family and close friends following.
