Obituary for Janice Kiser

Janice Irene Kiser age 93, of Pitman passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. Janice attended Glassboro HS and was a member of NHS and the Drum and Bugle Corps. She held various positions, but most valued her experience working at 30th St. Train Station during WWII. In addition to being a Homemaker, she was an avid reader and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. Janice is survived by her daughters Eileen Kiser, Denese Kiser, Karen Reci (Harry), Robin Tustin (Bob), and Joy Kiser, five grandchildren, sister Winifred Morse (Jim) and many much loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Wesley Kiser Jr., her brothers Charles (Lee) and Jack Van Fleet (Barbara), and sister Evelen Schwoebel (Walt). Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 to 11:00am on Friday November 2nd at First United Methodist Church of Haddon Heights,704 Garden Street Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020. Donations can be made in honor of Janice I. Kiser to the First United Methodist Church of Haddon Heights 704 Garden Street Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com

Dear Mom,

I feel so grateful that we were blessed with the very best Mom. You worried about being a burden, always wanting to make the choices that would make things easier for your “girls”. I was crabby sometimes when that ‘come help me’ bell sounded in the night, but the truth is that having you live with us was a precious gift. Having you close made everything better. You made me feel loved and appreciated. Until we meet again, I will miss you every day, but thoughts of you reunited with Dad and so many loved ones who have gone to Heaven before us makes it easier.

Sparking eyes and a gentle smile, I will always remember Aunt Janice this way. She had the same twinkle as her big brother, Jack, who was my father. I have fond memories of the limited time we shared, from the stop off visits on our way to New Jersey, when she lived, I believe, in South Carolina, to when we would see the family in New Jersey. She raised beautiful children who adored her with all their hearts.....what more can a mother ask? Girls, know she is and was loved, and she had an affect on those who were lucky enough to know her..........
