Obituary for Jearl Ronald Waddell

Jearl Ronald  Waddell
Jearl Ronald Waddell, age 75, went peacefully in his sleep to be home with the Lord Sunday, March 20, 2016.

Jearl was born at home in Ada, OK to the late Earl T. and A. Marie Waddell on December 31, 1940. He graduated from Spring Garden Institute of Technology in 1962. He married his wife, Patricia, of 52 years on June 15, 1963. Jearl retired as an Engineer Specialist from Kimberly Clark, formerly Scott Paper Company, in 2001 where he worked for 30 years. Jearl was a charter member of the Mullica Hill Rifle Club and a Life Member of the NRA. He also was a member of the West Jersey Radio Control Club and the West Deptford Republicans Club. Jearl was an active member of Southwood Baptist Church for over 40 years where he led the Youth Group, taught Sunday School, and was on the Stewardship Board. His interests included hunting, gardening, woodworking, playing guitar, and helping others.

He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (nee Pike), son Michael of New York City, NY, daughter Donna of West Deptford, NJ, and daughter Dawn Witherspoon (and Glenn) of West Deptford, NJ, three grandchildren Aidan, Colin, Megan, and his faithful dog, Maddie. He is also survived by his brothers Donald (and Barbara) of Woodbury Heights, NJ and Garry (and Judy) of Stroudsburg, PA and their children and grandchildren.

Family & friends may visit from 9 to 11 AM Saturday, March 26th at Southwood Baptist Church, 11 Griscom Lane, West Deptford, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Woodbury Memorial Park in West Deptford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jearl's memory can be made to one of the following charities: Choices of the Heart, 108 Greentree Road, Suites JKLM, Turnersville, NJ 08012 or World Vision P.O.
