Jim Donnelly, retired Clearview Regional High School teacher, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of December 21, 2022. He graduated from Pitman High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Jim graduated from Rutgers College of South Jersey, and later received a master's degree in Reading Education from Glassboro State College.

Mr. Donnelly, known affectionately to his students as "el Rey", or just "Senor", taught Spanish and was Department Chairman of Foreign Language from 1960 when Clearview first opened to his retirement in 1991, with 31 years of dedication to Clearview.

Jim is survived by his wife, Jean; his son Michael; his daughter Elise; his friends and his students whom he loved and to whom he attributed any success he had as a teacher.

Friends and Family may visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Thursday, December 29th, at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Michaels, 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown, NJ where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
