Joan G. Jones (nee Gwyn) age 86, of Haddon Heights passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She was born in Scranton, PA to the late David Robert Gwyn and Mame Bertha (nee Rieder). Joan worked as a Registered Nurse for Cooper Hospital. She was an active member and leader at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Haddon Heights for over 50 years. Joan loved being involved in her grandchildren’s lives and creating summer memories in Ocean City.

Wife of the late Hoyt D. Jones Jr., she is survived by her children, Cindy Layton & her husband Robert, Hoyt D. Jones III & his wife Joni, and David R. Jones & his wife Susan, eight grandchildren, Robert (Krista), Michael (Victoria), Mallory (Edward), Lindsay (Christopher), Taylor (Caroline), Ryan, Haley, and Shawn, and 8 great grandchildren, Robbie, Talia, CJ, Michael, Everett, Dean, Caroline, and Marlowe.

Family and Friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, December 15th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 where a memorial service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church, 18 W. Merchant St. Audubon, NJ 08106.
