John J. Betson Jr. age 88, of "Pine Acres" Deptford Twp. passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. Born in Philadelphia to the late John Betson and Helen (Freeman) he worked in the maintenance department at Gloucester County Vocational School. John was a kind and generous man who would lend a hand to anyone in need and enjoyed working on his house. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his only grandson, Wyatt.

Husband of the late Joan Betson (Ganly), his children, Joan Applebee (Wayne Ramer) of Pitman, Karen Betson (Dave Anderson) of Wenonah and John Betson of Wenonah; grandson, Wyatt Anderson; brothers, Thomas and Robert Betson; sister-in-law, Mary Ganly; cherished family friend, Anne Levy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Baylee Pinkston and sisters, Helen Springer, Dorothy King, Margaret Melella, Catherine Macera and Evelyn Faione.
