John Joseph Gallagher "Jack" age 82, of Deptford Twp. passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023 at home.  Born in Philadelphia to the late John Gallagher and Marie (nee Dever) he served in the US Army.  Jack was a proud member of UA Local 692 Sprinklerfitters for 60 years and retired as the business manager.  He was an avid Phillies fan, enjoyed playing cards, trips to the Borgota in Atlantic City, and figuring out crossword puzzles & Sudoku.  Jack was not much of a dancer, but would leap up when he heard the YMCA song and do the dance.  Most of all he loved his family and celebrating their accomplishments.  

Jack is survived by his wife Audrey (nee Hopkins); three daughters, Tracy Kustera & her husband Bob, Karen Marrone, Jacqui Schekman & her husband Ron; Nine grandchildren; Nine great grandchildren and his cousin, Ray Marini, his wife, Barbara, & their sons. He was predeceased by his son Karl Field.

Family and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 11 am on Saturday, July 29th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 am.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ.  Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com.
