John E. Kraus, Jr. (Jack) 74, of Mantua NJ, died Fri. June 24, 2005 at home with his family.

Mr. Kraus had been a resident of Mantua for 56 years. He was a member of the Centre City Volunteer Fire Company and served as chief for 14 years, he was also a member of the Masons-Mantua Lodge F & AM No. 95.

Husband of Theresa (nee Bugno). he is survived by his son John E Kraus III and his wife Donna of West Deptford NJ, Son-in-law Vincent Pagano of NY, NY. Brother William J. Kraus and his wife Joan of Williamstown NJ, 5 Grandchildren Deanna, Donna, Ashley, Benjamin, and William and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Pagano.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family 6 to 9 P.M. Wed. June 29th, and Thursday 9 to 10 at the Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, N.J. Funeral Service will be at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery Monroe Twp. NJ.
