Obituary for John Vincent Sullivan

John Vincent  Sullivan
John V. Sullivan age 81, of Mantua passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. John had several careers, including furniture buyer, owning several furniture stores, Executive Director at Maryville, and even operating a hot dog cart on the beach in Cape May. John was formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus and had fond memories of being an altar boy in his youth. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. John truly loved life and had a charismatic personality and infectious laugh. He always had a genuine warmth for people.

John is survived by his beloved Denise McDermott; children, Richard Sullivan ofr Solomons, MD and Kimberly Finocchairo of Mantua; grandchildren, Anthony Sullivan, Kristyn Finocchairo, Julia Finocchairo and Brianna Sullivan; five great grandchildren; and brother Donald Sullivan & his wife Ann.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 22nd at Church Of The Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, followed by Military Honors.
