‘Hey Jude ... Don’t make it bad; take a sad song, and make it better...’. That song by the Beatles will always bring Judy Hampton to the forefront of my memory. I’ve know Judy since grade school at Wdby Hts Elementary. I can’t quite remember if we were in the same Kindergarten class, or not. I do remember that she and Joyce Hoefers seemed to walk to & from school together. Joyce hung out w/the Hampton family a lot in her grade school days, and into High School - certainly, she & Judy were close friends early on. And, I was fortunate enough to get Joyce to marry me back in ‘83. I will always think of Judy as a very pretty and kind friend; her life was cut short way too early ... and I wish Joyce & I had stayed closer in our ‘adult years.’ Life does have a way of developing different paths for all of us, and ours just did not seem to cross w/Judy’s all that often after our years at Gateway. I can say that Love lives on in our hearts ... and our remembrance of Judy will live on as a love for childhood friends that will not cease. We are assured that Judy did trust in Jesus, as do Joyce & I, so we know that one day we will have a reunion together in Heaven. Praise God! Rest In Peace, Judy! W/His Love, Greg & Joyce Jones

I am saddened to learn of Judy's passing. Although I lived in Woodbury Heights, I was a relative newcomer so I only have Gateway Regional H.S. memories. I can still picture happy, pleasant "Jude" walking through hallways on her way to class or in the Guidance Office as an aide as if it were yesterday. Wasn't it? It's always sad to hear one of our classmates passed away, but comforting to know she was well-liked and remembered fondly by her school chums. My sincere condolences to Judy's family. Karyl Carter
