Karen L.  Beatty (Burg)
Karen L. Beatty (Burg) age 62, of Deptford Township passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Karen grew up in Barnsboro, attended school at Clearview, and graduated from Eastern College in Pennsylvania. She was employed with Social Services of Gloucester County as a Counselor.
Karen enjoyed taking in the rays at the beach with a good book, crafting decorations for the seasons, making jewelry, coloring her hair, and shopping for her favorite purses. Most of all she liked keeping up with friends and spending quality time with her family. Karen had a quick wit and contagious sense of humor. She was caring and sweet to all she met, making sure that her house was a home welcome to everyone.
Karen was predeceased by her husband James Beatty. She is survived by her sons, Jason, Jared and Jordan Beatty, two sisters, Pennie Stewart and Rebecca DeLuca, as well as her beloved Aunt Mary Long. Karen was predeceased by her mother, Tessie Boinske (nee Orange) and William Burg.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ 08094.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southwood Baptist Church, 11 Griscom Lane, West Deptford, NJ 08096.
