Karen was a very special person to my cousins and myself. She introduced me to my favorite childhood book. We remember her as the "fun" aunt; even when I was a nutty little kid, she never treated me like anything less than an interesting, whole person with valuable thoughts and feelings. I wish she could have been with us longer.
