Kathleen Ann Cooker (Friedrich) age 71, of Mullica Hill passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Woodbury, NJ on December 11, 1948, Kathy lived and worked in South Jersey. A graduate of Clearview Regional High School, she worked for more than 35 years at Eglington Cemetery and the final years of her career with J Roberts and Sons Inc. Kathy had a passion for country western dancing, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Mullica Hill and in the past, enjoyed volunteering with the business functions of the church.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Russell Cooker and her sister Sharon (Dave) Porreca as well as her children Nicole (Sean) McFadden, Darren (Lisa) Cooker, Donny (Val) Pemberton, Terry (Joanne) Pemberton. Her grandchildren Kyra McFadden, Delaney McFadden, Zachary (Marisa) Cooker, Danielle Cooker, Kevin Pemberton, Lisa Keene, Melissa (Tracy) White, TJ (Lauren) Pemberton, Noah Pemberton, Rosie Pemberton, Ashley (Manny) Martinez, Allycia Dwight, and Spencer Dwight. Great Grandchildren, Violet and Scarlet Cooker, Charlotte, Antonio, and Declan Martinez, Acelyn Pemberton, Stephanie Yeager, Lily and Ciara Snow, Chyenne Parks, Maia, Amelia, and Angela Rodriguez. Predeceased by her daughter Vicki Parks, her grandson Daniel Pemberton, her parents, Elizabeth, nee Gandy and Peter Friedrich, and her brothers Robert and Richard Friedrich.

Kathy was a strong woman who never gave up when faced with life’s challenges. She taught us that family was about love, not necessarily blood. She was a giving and generous friend to so very many. Last but by no means least, Kathy was a loving and devoted dog-mom to Angie.

Family and Friends are invited to visit with her family from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church

So many wonderful childhood memories were spent with Kathy and family. I was always a welcome guest in her home and on family vacations. I cherish these memories and am so thankful she allowed me to be a part of her life. A true gem of a woman who lived a full and joyful life. My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends. You will be missed♥️

I remember as a child Grandma Kathy coming down to Virginia every Labor Day weekend to the camp site in Williamsburg, and me and my sister Lisa having so much fun! Grandma Kathy taught me how to line dance, and was always easy to talk too and had a beautiful presence around her. My heart is heavy with the passing of her, but I am glad she is no longer suffering and know she is in a beautiful, peaceful place! Love Melissa White
