Obituary for Laurence R. Lynch

Laurence R. Lynch age 66, of Palatka, Florida, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was born and raised in Havertown, Pennsylvania before moving to Burlington County, NJ where he lived over 30 years before retiring to Florida.

Larry worked for Lockheed Martin Rotary, Moorestown (formerly RCA Missile and Surface Radar) for over 30 years. An excellent Electronic Technician, Larry was responsible for the testing of subassemblies used by the US Navy. Upon promotion to Test Method Engineer, Larry was responsible for all factory production testing during evening shift, as well as level testing and calibration of the antennas. He was well liked and respected by his peers.

He enjoyed building and working with radios, computers, and electronics. He was a fan of science fiction, his favorites included Star Trek and Firefly. He loved good music and had an excellent ear from his early days working at at the Queen Village Recording Studio in Philadelphia, PA. He had an appreciation for British humor loved a good cup of tea.

Laurence is survived by his daughter Leslie Neely and her husband Matthew, grandson Matthew Neely, Jr., sister Marguerite Lynch and brothers Thomas and John Lynch.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 17th at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. A time of remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm.
