On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Lee Mahlon Edwards, loving husband and father of two children, entered into the presence of the Savior at the age of 84. Lee was born on January 1, 1937 in Swedesboro, NJ to Arthur and Agnes Edwards (nee Robbins). Lee attended Woodstown High School and spent 2 years in the Army serving in Korea where he was the Chaplain’s assistant and played the organ music for 3 weekly chapel services.
On November 25, 1964, he married Nancy Smith with whom he raised two sons, Brian and Larry. Lee played the organ professionally for over 20 years at Sweetwater Casino Restaurant. Recreationally he enjoyed playing golf, hunting, spending time on the beach, and in his retirement years fishing off the pier in Myrtle Beach. Lee was known for his mischievous ways tricking and scaring others and getting a good laugh at their reaction. Lee is survived by his wife Nancy, his two children, Brian and Larry and his four grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11 am.
