Leo Russell Gerst age 86, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 with family by his side. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. Leo graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He was retired from the Post Office where he spent his career as a Postal Worker. Leo enjoyed spending his time Painting, watching horse racing, going to casinos, and coin collecting. He will always be remembered as a Great Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

Survived by his loving wife Tilda (nee DiGiacomo), daughter Joanne Gerst (Mike Ellis), sons Leo R. Gerst, Jr. (Floss) and Gregory Gerst (Sherrie), grandchildren Leo Gerst, III, Gracie Gerst, Dylan Ellis, Megan Gerst and Emily Gerst, 6 Step grandchildren, brother Joe Gerst, sisters Mary Ellen Panaro and Ruth Neel, predeceased by brothers Jack and Victor Gerst.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Monday, August 13th, 2018 at Church of the Incarnation 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ 2398 Route 70 West Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
