Obituary for Leonard E Donat

Leonard E, Donat age 90, of Oak Valley Wenonah passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital at Washington Township. Born in McAdoo, PA Len served in the Army during the Korean War and lived in Oak Valley since 1958. After serving in the Army, Leonard held various positions with Bell of Pennsylvania/Verizon before retiring in 1989. Leonard was a faithful and active member of the Mantua United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a dedicated member of the Church Choir. He also spent many years teaching Sunday School and served terms as Lay Leader and Sunday School Superintendent. Leonard enjoyed traveling, camping, tinkering around on his workbench and was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He was involved in various vocal and theater groups and always put his heart and soul into anything he attempted. He enjoyed a long and happy retirement with his wife and constant companion, Doris.

Leonard is survived by his wife of 71 years Doris (Willing) Donat, father of the late Linda Thompson, also survived by 3 sons David Donat (Ruthann), Rev. Stephen Donat (Dianna), Andrew Donat; 6 grandchildren: Mark Thompson, Kimberly Hekl, Brian, Chris, Daniel, and Alicia Donat. 6 greatgrandchildren: Mark Jr., Emma, Addison, Molly, Noah, and Emelia
Predeceased by 3 brothers Charles, Robert, Jr., and Alvin Donat.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at United Methodist Church Of Mantua, 201 Mantua Blvd Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon. Burial with military honors to follow at Woodbury Memorial Park in W. Deptford, NJ.
