Obituary for Linda E. Andrews (Wood)
Linda E. Andrews (nee Wood) passed peacefully in her home on Friday, January 7, 2022 after the fight of her life against lung cancer. Linda was a warrior in many stages of her life, but this one mattered to her most.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marie (nee McDonald) Wood. Linda is survived by her beloved, longtime companion and Fiancee', Nick Matteo. She was the Devoted mother of Jennifer (Ray) McKnight, and Edward Andrews, loving mother-in-law to Megan Andrews, dedicated Mom-Mom to her 5 granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Shelby, Madison, Lexi, Kera, and Hailey. Linda is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Diane (Tom) McCool, Jimmy (Claudia) Wood, and Johnny Wood (Liz). She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernie, Richie, David, and Eddie. Linda will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially her best friend and partner in crime, Teresa Dwornik.
Family and Friends may visit from 1 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 15th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. John of God. Linda devoted many years of her life caring for the men and women in the ALPs program until she recently made a switch into the transportation department. She enjoyed her time there and considered many of her coworkers and program participants her family.
