Lois Henry age 86, of Deptford Twp. passed Monday, June 6, 2022 at home. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Carl Allen Schopbach and Wilhelmina (nee White), she graduated from Haddonfield High School Class of 1953. Lois graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She was an R.N. and continued her education, earning her bachelor’s degree in school nursing and health education from Glassboro State College in 1976, and her master’s degree in Administration from Rider University in 1983. Lois was employed at Methodist Hospital, Bridgeton Hospital, and retired in 1995 as the Assistant Vice President of Patient Services for Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.
In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, arts & crafts, dancing, and body surfing. Lois loved trips to the beach, especially when staying at her grandparents house in Island Heights, NJ. As an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, she cheered for her home teams through thick and thin. She took many vacations, traveling across Europe and camped in every state in the Contiguous United States (except Arkansas).
Lois is survived by her husband, Russell Bruce Henry; three children, James Edward Ramos, John Richard Ramos, Judith Rene Caldwell; six grandchildren, James, Lindsey, Andrew, Jenn, John, and Bill; and four great grandchildren, Jared, Madison, McKenzie, Julianna, and another great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by Russell's children, Mark, Paul, Drew, and Marlise. She was predeceased by her brother, Allen Davis Schopbach.
Family and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 11 am on Thursday, June 16th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ.
