Obituary for Lois F. Snodgrass

Lois Florence Snodgrass, nee Watson, 91, died at Manor Care, in West Deptford, NJ, March 5, 2020. Lois was born in Camden, NJ, December 24, 1928. Her parents were Lawrence P. Watson and Helen E. Schaaf, nee Betson. Lois was predeceased by an older sister, Doris. Lois graduated from Pitman High School in 1946 where she was an avid poet and singer. She was a member of the 1945 New Jersey All-State Chorus. She lived most of her life in Pitman and Woodbury, NJ. After high school she studied to become a secretary and became an executive secretary at the Barrett Corp. and ARA Food Corp. She also volunteered at Contact as a counselor. Lois loved camping and traveling with friends in her camper van throughout the USA. She loved dogs and owned several German Shepherds. Lois loved the Catholic Church and was baptized at St. Patrick’s Church in Woodbury in 1970.
Lois is survived by a brother, George Larry Watson, two sons, Robert Snodgrass, wife Colleen and James Snodgrass; five grandchildren; Stephen Huntley, wife Lisa; Todd Snodgrass, wife Sofia; Matthew Snodgrass, wife Mary Kaye; Nicole Snodgrass, husband Miles Holland; Brian Snodgrass. She has nine great-grandchildren; Michael Taylor, Jacob Snodgrass, Julianna Snodgrass, Sage Huntley, Addison Snodgrass, Madeline Snodgrass, Annaliese Holland, Baker Snodgrass and Gabrielle Snodgrass.
Special thanks go to the staff and professionals at Manor Care and Hospice for their skills and care of Lois during her stay. There will be a private gathering this spring of family members to be announced. Donations to any animal welfare organization in Lois’s memory would bring a smile to her heart.
