Lorraine Mae (nee Seufert) Gogstad, Loving Sister, Aunt, Godmother
Lorraine Mae Gogstad, 87, of Mantua, N.J., passed peacefully at Summit Place Assisted Living Facility on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019. Born November 14,1931, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (nee Finnerty) Platt and step daughter of the late Wilson Platt. She was predeceased by her husband, George Ova Gogstad, which she married on September 30, 1950 and lived in the home they built together in Deptford Township for many years. She was a huge lover of animals, especially the many chipmunks that lived in her yard. She also loved cooking and embroidery in her younger years. She made many friends through her sales of Avon, including the furry 4 legged kind since she always had a stash of doggie treats with her. She is survived by her brother Wilson T. Platt and his wife Joyce of Harbeson, Delaware, several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, and her devoted friend Claudia.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 11th at Eglington Cemetery, 320 Kings Highway, Clarksboro, NJ 08020. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N. Delsea Dr., Clayton, NJ 08312 would be appreciated.
