Obituary for Marcienne R. Doerrmann (Koponick)

Marcienne R. Doerrmann age 91, of Mickleton passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Born in South Milwaukee, WI to the late John Koponick and Adeline (nee Putz), she moved to East Greenwich Twp. in 1948. Marcienne was a wife of a farmer and with no farming experience she dedicated her life to assist on the Doerrmann Farm which dates back to the 1880s. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Marcienne became active in politics, and was a member of the East Greenwich Democrat Club. When her husband became the Mayor of East Greenwich, Marcienne was always there to support her husband’s decisions and vision for East Greenwich Twp. She was also a member of East Greenwich Twp. Board of Health and the Farm Bureau of NJ. Marcienne enjoyed baking, cooking, and loved arts & crafts. She travelled on several cruises to different destinations, but most of all she loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wife of the late William H. Doerrmann, she is survived by her three children, Shirley Villanova, William Doerrmann & his wife Elizabeth, and Kurt Doerrmann & his wife Wendy; six grandchildren, Patrick Villanova, Kristen English & her husband Mike, William Doerrmann, Jr. & his wife Bissy, David Doerrmann & his wife Ally, Adrienne Reeder & her husband Ross, and Chad Doerrmann; eight great grandchildren, Colton, Chase, Avery, Beau, Jax, Brady, Brooks, and Pierce; and her sister-in-law, Jane Koponick. Marcienne was predeceased by her brother, George Koponick and her son-in-law, Doug Villanova.

Family and Friends may visit from 10 am to 11 am on Friday, November 4th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery, 320 Kings Highway, Clarksboro, NJ. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to Evangelical United Methodist Church, 14 W.
