Marjory A. Dougherty, born May 8, 1936, age 82, of Mantua, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Marge worked all of her life. She worked at Columbia Records in Pitman for many years and met some of her lifetime friends there. Her last job was as a bus aid for McGough Bus Company. A life member of the Mantua VFW 7679 Auxiliary, and two time Madam President. Marjory enjoyed doing fundraisers for the VFW and supporting veterans and their families. She also enjoyed her time in the canteen with friends playing shuffle board and Wii.

She was a loving mother to four daughters, Genevieve Damario, Barbara Hetzell (Dwight), Sharon Wurst (Russell) and Janice Dougherty (Jim Reilly). Grandmother to James Howarth, Robert F. Amos, Jr. (Jessie), Niquole Dougherty (James Hetherington, Jr.), Christopher Hetzell (Leah), Steven Hetzell and Justina Dougherty Reilly. Great Grandmother to Justin Hatton-Winter, Destiny Herman, Jonnie Hatton-Winter, Aiden Howarth, James Hetherington, III and Molly Hetzell. Marge was predeceased by her husband Elmer G. Dougherty and her granddaughter Melanie Jean Howarth.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 12 Noon to 2 PM on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM. Private burial at Brig. Gen William Doyle Memorial Vet. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimers Association 399 Market St. Suite 102 Philadelphia, PA 19106.
