Obituary for Mary T. Mullen

Mary T. Mullen age 82, of Mantua Twp. was reunited in Heaven with her family on Monday February 27, 2023. Born in Philadelphia to the late Homard Alexander and Catherine (nee Tunney), she was raised in West Chester. Mary graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, PA Class of 1958. She retired from Tyco/Mantua Metals of Woodbury Heights. Mary was devoted to her family and a longtime member of The Church of the Incarnation. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking care of her home, tending to her gardens, and was an avid walker. Mary loved her family and adored her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to send a card for any occasion. Mary enjoyed long phone calls with her family to get and give all the news. Love, kindness, generosity, hard-work and a strong will are some of the qualities that she passed on to her entire family.

Wife of the late Edward J. Mullen, together they raised their 8 children, Patrick (Nikki), Bernadette (Mike, predeceased), Timothy (predeceased), Andrew (predeceased), Marguerite (Doug), Teresa (Kerry), Thomas (Sue), and Jennifer (Denny); 20 grandchildren, Jason (predeceased), Benny, Mandy (Andy), Kacee, Koree, Christian (Gabby), Timmy, Tyler, Elizabeth (Luis), Douglas III (Erica), Suzannah (Mark), Abby (Dan), Joe (Jill), Jacquelyne, Thomas, Jessica, Mary (Chris), Denny (Kelsie), David, and Alexander; 17 great grandchildren, Riley, Taylor, Maddie, Scarlett, David, James, Kamryn, Jayden, Lucas, Landon, Levi, Grady, Lily, Maverick, Grace, Christopher, Emma; and her brother Clarence and her sister Cordy Alexander, who is her best friend.

Family & friends may visit from 9 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 8th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 at 11 am on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Twp., NJ. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to Church of the Incarnation at the address above.
