Peter Joseph  Solina Sr.
Peter Joseph Solina Sr., age 68 of Gibbstown NJ passed away suddenly on March 25th surrounded by his family at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY Peter moved to Mullica Hill NJ at age 12. He graduated from Clearview Regional HS in 1965 and went on to enroll in the US Navy, where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Peter married the love of his life, Patricia, at age 21. Together they shared 47 wonderful, loving years of marriage, fulfilled by 4 children and 13 grandchildren. He worked as a master carpenter, was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed antiquing, was an "excellent" golfer (often birdying on every hole). Above all else, he was a selfless man who would do anything and everything for his family: Loving husband to Patricia (Creachan) Solina, devoted father to Peter Jr. (Christine), Michael (Jenn), Tony (Megan), and Angel (Jeremy) Solina Adoring grandfather to Holden, Tony, Megan, Tommy, Nicholas, Dominic, Christian, Dalton, Jon, Dale, Bryce, Aveanna, and Blake Brother to Phil(Diane), Joe Solina and Josie Newcome. Son to the late Joseph Solina, and survived by Lucy (Cincotta) Solina. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday March 29th, and 9:30 am to 11:00 am Wednesday March 30th at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial with military honors to follow at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township.
