Obituary for Philip A. Bevilacqua

Philip A. Bevilacqua age 53, of Glassboro, formerly of Pitman passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020. Born in Woodbury and raised in Wenonah, he graduated from Gateway Regional High School Class of 1985. Philip earned his Bachelor's Degree from The College of New Jersey and his Master's Degree from Rowan University. He was a teacher in the Technology Department at Orchard Valley Middle School in Washington Twp. and Vice Principal at Gateway Regional High School in Woodbury Heights. Currently he was a Construction Manager for Local 172 based in Folsom, NJ. Philip was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan and volunteered with Pitman Youth Football and Wrestling Program. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, woodworking, listening to live music and spending time with family at the shore. Philip always had a smile on his face and was never shy to say hello. He enjoyed socializing and making others feel at home.

He is survived by his children, Philip Bevilacqua (Rachel), Anthony Bevilacqua & Angela Bevilacqua and their mother Karen Bevilacqua, as well as his parents, Robert Bevilacqua and Carmela (Tedesco), and his sister, Theresa Rucci. He was an uncle to nieces and nephews, David, Joseph and Skylar Rucci, AJ (Jess) and Lauren Matrisciano, Katie Yarsinsky, and Julie and Joey Kidner. In addition he was a son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, and cousin to a large, extended family. He leaves behind many lifelong friendships including that of Fred Hertlein, Paul Eisenhart and cherished moments with Victoria.

Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, December 5th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. Burial will be private at Wenonah Cemetery. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.smithfhmantua.com
