Philip Lawrence Jackson, Sr., age 63 of Oak Valley, Deptford Twp., NJ died Wednesday, March 13, 2013. An outdoorsman, Phil enjoyed hunting and fly fishing. He was a graduate of Deptford High School where he participated in track and field and once held the school record for the pole vault. He also enjoyed dancing and was a ‘collector’. During the Vietnam era he served in the US Army and he worked for Campbell Soup for the past 5 years.

Husband of the late Patricia R. (nee Quigley), he is survived by his son: Philip L. Jackson, Jr. and his wife Nancy; his daughter: Dawn Veasey; grandchildren: Stephen Jones, James & Vanessa Veasey and Trey & Xander Jackson; sister: Lonnie Chafardon; and brothers: Lawrence, Richard, David, Matthew & Joseph Jackson.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family 7-9 pm Sunday, March 17 and 10-11 AM Monday, March 18 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday.
