Obituary for Raymond A. Carr

Raymond A. Carr age 88, of West Deptford passed peacefully Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the Philadelphia Inquirer - Daily News as a Pressman - Printer's LU16. He enjoyed spending his time golfing, loved going to the racetrack, and wagering on sports, he also had a wonderful appreciation for music. Raymond was always involved with his children’s sports growing up, never missing a game including Little League, Pop Warner, American Legion, high school football, baseball and wrestling, and college football. Most of all Raymond will be remembered for how he loved and was dedicated to his wife Josephine and his family.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Josephine (nee Maddaloni) and his children Raymond and wife Kim Carr, Joseph Carr, and James Carr. Grandchildren Alexandria and husband Jonavin Webb, Jessica and husband Michael Hackman, Rebecca, and Raymond, his great grandchildren Audrina, Jonavin, and Jace. Predeceased by his brothers Tom Carr, James Carr, and by sisters, Cecilia, and Loretta, and Viola Carr.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:15 am to 10:30 am on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick's Church 64 Cooper Street Woodbury, New Jersey 08096.

Inurnment and Military Honors will be held at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Township, NJ 08094 at a later date.
