Obituary for Richard E. Maier
Richard E. Maier age 84, of Woodbury passed Thursday, December 21, 2023. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as a Full-time Fireman from the City of Woodbury after 25yrs of dedicated service. Richard affectionately known by most as "Dick", enjoyed spending his time playing golf, visiting North Myrtle Beach, being involved in the Fire Company, and was a long-time hearse driver/funeral assistant for Mantua Livery Service with which he got to travel around helping many funeral homes in the area.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Debra St. Germain and husband Jim, and Lisa Leech and husband John. Also, by grandchildren, Jaime Coleman and husband Jacob, John, Sabrina, and Ashley Leech, great grandchildren Cassidy and Trenton, and nieces Kim and Shawn. Predeceased by loving wife Brenda (nee Stonecypher) and step son Jeffrey Stonecypher.
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 9:30am to 11:00am on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051, with Military Honors and burial to follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
