Obituary for Richard L. Raively

Richard L. Raively age 76, of "Sewell" Mantua Township, NJ passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020. He was born in Camden, NJ to the late C. Ervin Raively and Grace (Hitchner). Dick was a painter and was a member of Local 1331 Painter's Union. He was also a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Wenonah, NJ. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, tinkering around his home and gardening. Dick also enjoyed carpentry and built furniture for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Phillies, Flyers and Eagles. Dick was ecstatic when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. He was a gentle soul and did whatever he could to attend family gatherings and his grandchildren's sporting events. Dick had many hardships with his health but never complained about his physical situation. He lived life to the fullest and loved his family and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Raively (Kivilis), five children, Susan Waksman and her husband Ron of Madison, NJ, Richard "Rick" Raively & his wife Donna of Deptford Twp., NJ David Raively of Sewell, NJ Donna Bassolino & her husband Sam of East Hanover, NJ and Wendy DeCaro & her husband Carmen of Madison, NJ, grandchildren, Alec, Jared, Ben and Lauren Waksman, Rick and his wife Heather, Matthew and Kevin Raively, Maddison Mendoza & her husband Chris, Zachary, Alyvia and Sara Raively, Christian & Sebastian Bassolino, and Lillianna, Sophia & Ellena DeCaro, great grandchildren, Grayson & Cassidy Mendoza, Jonas Toth and Vito Balsamo, his brother Ronald Raively & his wife Paula and his sister-in-law, Jean Raively, he was also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Wilusz, Sally Kivilis, and Nancy Lockman and brother-in-law Ken. As well as many nieces and nephews. Dick was predeceased by his brother, Robert Raively and his mother & father-in-law, Mary and Stanley Kivilis.

Family and Friends may visit from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday September 23rd at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where Funeral Services will be held at 7 pm. Interment will be private.
