Obituary for Richard M. Young
Richard M. Young age 78, of Clarksboro passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020. Born in Woodbury to the late Robert J. Young and Marian (Nawn), he graduated from Woodbury High School Class of 1959. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963 and worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 50 years where he retired as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. Richard was an avid reader and enjoyed Civil War and WWII History. He enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach with his wife, walking along the water and looking for shells.
He is survived by his wife, Jonnet (Finocchiaro), children, Heather A. Barto (Jonathan) of Gibbstown, Steven M. Young of Clarksboro and Jeffrey S. Young (Sulye) of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Benjamin and Colton, and siblings, Robert J. Young, Jr., and Virginia Rose and her husband George. Richard was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Leiby and her husband Allen, and his sister-in-law, Roslyn Young.
Family and Friends may visit from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, February 15th, at Southwood Baptist Church, 11 Griscom Lane, West Deptford where Funeral Services will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
