Rita D. O'Toole age 88, of Mantua passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Daley O'Toole; brother, James O'Toole (Mary); sisters, Mary Leary (William) and Theresa Swoyer (Jack). She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.

After graduating from St. Rose of Lima and West Catholic High School, Rita entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with her longtime childhood friend Joan, or Sister Maureen James. Known as Sister John Maureen, Rita taught in PA, NJ, and CA. After leaving the convent she worked for the Philadelphia School District, sharing her expertise with teachers and students throughout Philadelphia.

Rita was a member of the Church of the Incarnation in Mantua, NJ and served on Parish Council, was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and taught in the religious education program for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 13th at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
