Robert J. DiDio, age 73 of Mullica Hill, NJ died peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2013. Born in Barrington, he graduated from Collingswood High School in 1958 where he played football and wrestled. He then served in the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Forrestal from 1958-1963.
In 1966 he married Madeline Checchio and they lived in Cherry Hill before relocating to Mullica Hill in 2003. Bob was an entrepreneur who owned a leasing, real estate and collections company until he retired in 1998.

Husband of Madeline C. (nee Checchio), he is also survived by his children Robert D. (Katherine) DiDio of Mullica Hill and Renee (Brendan) Ward of Wayne, PA and 4 grandchildren: Maddie Sue, Johnny, Ben and Brendan. He is also survived by 3 siblings: Catherine Parker, John DiDio and Carol Hyder and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family 7-9 PM Thursday, January 24 and 9-9:45 AM Friday, January 25 at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit at Holy Name of Jesus Parish Center, 17 Earlington Avenue, Mullica Hill, NJ where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Penn Cardiovascular Institute at 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia PA 19104-3309 would be appreciated.
