Obituary for Robert Manning Kruger

Robert Manning Kruger
Robert Manning Kruger, known by those close to him as Rob or Bob, of Mullica Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 5th 2016 in Jacksonville Fl. He was 59 years old at the time of his passing. Robert was born on July 9, 1956 and grew up in Morristown, NJ. He is survived by his wife Susan, two daughters, Robin (Kenny) of Edgewater, FL and Laura, his sisters Sally Sulloway and Judy Bromley, his brother Chuck (Linda), his nieces Adrianna Goff and Emily Michalik Rivers, his nephews Daniel Michalik (Nina) and Casey Kruger, his grandchildren Jocelyn, Braeden, and Corbin, 5 great nephews, and 1 great niece. Additionally, Rob was thrilled to be expecting twin granddaughters this fall. He was a loving father and husband, a loyal friend, and made those he loved and cared about happy. Rob was an aircraft fanatic; his love of flying and anything aviation related was a legacy passed down courtesy of his beloved father Charles Kruger, who bravely participated in WWII as a B17 pilot. Rob prided himself on a wonderful career he thoroughly enjoyed in the field of aircraft maintenance, proudly working with UPS since 1992. Aside from aviation he was also very passionate about sailing, scuba diving, skiing, music, and was enthusiastic about motorcycles (particularly Harley Davidson’s), and especially enjoyed quality time with friends and family. Rob loved warm fresh air, travel, beautiful places such as the ocean, Martha's Vineyard, the mountains, and quiet lakes in Maine; he loved summer yet enjoyed snow. Rob conveyed kindness towards people and animals alike, without discrimination or exception; he chose his words carefully, spoke with wisdom, and gave meaningful advice. He understood that he had the power to impact others and used it as an opportunity during his life to bring positivity and optimism into the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. Relatives and friends are invited to the Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051 on July 16th, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:30PM. A memorial service will follow at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the ASPCA or the American Lung Association, both of which are causes that were important to Rob.
