Obituary for Robert D. McKinney

On Sunday February 3, 2019, Robert D. McKinney (67), resident of Mantua for 44 years, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Robert was a long time member of Blessed Hope Community Church, Westville, NJ, he served in many needed areas, a Sunday School Teacher, song leader, technical areas and helped with repairs. Robert was a long time member of group called The Young Americans, with teen age groups singing at many churches.

Survived by his father, Robert S. McKinney (92) of Oak Valley and predeceased by his mother Rosemarie (83). He is also survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet (Booth) McKinney (76), step-son Howard B. Booth, Jr. (Ann Marie), Mantua, step-daughter Carla (Green) Kirkpatrick, Gloucester City, two sisters, Georgeann Hall (Wesley), Arizona and Rosemarie Barker (John), Woodbury. He was predeceased by his brother Richard McKinney (Debbie). Robert is also survived by grandchildren, Lindzey Fox (Stephen), Westville, Nicole Bonpodre (Christopher), West Deptford, Howard B. Booth, III, Mantua, Steven and Jason Fox and Zachary Bonpodre. Three nieces Ashley Hall, Sara and Kaely McKinney and three nephews Daniel and David Barker and Ian McKinney.

Family and Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey 08051. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am, final disposition will be private.
