Obituary for Robert P. Rieck

Robert P. Rieck, Sr., age 76 of Mullica Hill, NJ passed Monday, February 11, 2013 at home. Born and raised in Twin Oaks, PA, he had been a resident of Mullica Hill for 34 years. He served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked for Scott Paper Company and was most recently the owner of RCR Transport Company. Bob was a member of the Harrison Twp. Recreation Association, the Traffic Club of Wilmington, DE and past president of the Philadelphia Traffic Club. Bob was an avid golfer and was a member of several bowling leagues. Bob also coached baseball and soccer and enjoyed his vegetable garden. He enjoyed watching all of the Philadelphia, Clearview, and Rowan sports teams. Bob adored his children and grandchildren and enjoyed following all their activities.

Husband of Carol M.(nee Boffey), he is survived by his children, Nancy Miller and her husband David of Wellsboro, PA and their children Kent & Lauren Kerry, Walter Lewis Rieck "Ricky" and his wife Kelly of Parkesburg, PA and their children, James, Cortney and Ericka, Robin Owens Hammond of Paradise, PA and her son Zack and his son Colton, David May and his wife Angela of Wilmington, DE and their children, Kaitlyn & Lucas, and Robert Rieck Jr. and his wife Jeanine of Swedesboro and their children Robbie and Carter, his brother Donald of Lakeland, FL and his sister Gloria Vassallo and her husband Robert of Vineland, NJ.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM with funeral services immediately following on Saturday, February 16 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ. Cremation will be private. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to the Robert W. Mills American Legion Post #452, 141 N. Main Street, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062.
