Obituary for Ronald J. DiStasio

Ronald J. DiStasio 'Ronnie James' age 75, of Oak Valley passed away Friday, November 29, 2019. Ronald was born in Philadelphia and lived in Oak Valley. Ronnie James was an amazing musician, song writer and producer. He was the guitar player for Louie Prima in the 70s, a studio musician who played on numerous hits in the 70s and 80s, a member of 'The Salsoul Orchestra', writer of the hit song 'Run Away', founder of 'The Jez Hot Swing Club' and much more.
Ronald is survived by his wife Lanora; 3 children, Ronald J. DiStasio Jr. (Helen), Rachelle Niroda (Michael) and Christopher DiStasio (Kim); 8 grandchildren, Nicholaus, Michael, Matthew, Tina, Amanda, Joseph, Nicholas, and Gianna; many great grandchildren, and sister, Denise Keown (Thomas).
Family and Friends are invited to visit from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, December 6th at Smith Funeral Home 47 Main Street Mantua, NJ 08051. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm.
