Obituary for Sawyer Hayden Kern
Sawyer Hayden Kern, age 35, of Blackwood, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Born in Woodbury, he graduated from West Deptford HS Class of 2002. He was operations manager of a building supply company. Sawyer wrestled, played soccer and baseball. Loved the outdoors, playing golf, attending concerts of his favorite music artists, coaching and watching his children play sports. Family vacations and holidays were special to him.
He is survived by his children, Lahayla and Hayden Kern, mother Sandra (Holly) Backensto (Brian) of West Deptford, NJ, father Dr. Robert Kern (Cynthia) of Bridgeville, DE, sister Allyson Kern of West Deptford, NJ, brother Donovan Kern of West Deptford, NJ, stepbrothers and stepsisters Cheryl Rutter (John) of Wilmington, NC, Kristen Atoigue (Jason) of Burgaw, NC, Sean Silver(Jennifer) of Blackwood, NJ & Renee Quinn of Mantua, NJ and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sawyer was predeceased by grandparents A. Earl & Nancy W. Renner and George H. & Dorothy G. Kern, stepbrother Michael Silver and cousin Shea Harris.
