Obituary for Shea Matthew Harris

Shea Matthew Harris, 35, of Washington Twp., NJ, sadly passed away on January 6th, 2020. He was a beloved son of Steve and Terry, loving brother of Steven Jr. (Kelly), Shaun, and Samantha. Also survived by his loving grandmom, Marie Harris. He was a cherished grandson of his late grandpop, Bradford Harris, and his late nana and pop pop, Nancy and Earl Renner. In addition, Shea was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was currently residing in Irving, Texas, while employed at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

A 2002 graduate of Washington Township High School, he was a member of the football, wrestling, and baseball teams, as well as, the DECA program. Although Shea was born in South Jersey, he was a “country boy” at heart. Having completed his higher education from Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, he went on to travel the country (32 states) for seven years playing independent professional baseball with the Bridgeport, CT Bluefish and the Camden Riversharks. His lifetime passion was playing baseball and coaching.

In addition to baseball, he loved all sports, especially golf and fishing. He was a lover of all animals and extremely enjoyed growing his own “Jersey” tomatoes. Shea will forever “HAIL” to his Redskins!
