Shirley Regina (nee Stukowski) Michalski passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 8th with her family at her side. Born in Port Richmond, Philadelphia on March 24,1949 to Walter and Regina Stukowski. She served her country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Shirley was a teacher and taught for many years at St. John Cantius in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. Having retired several years ago, with her husband, she enjoyed tending their garden, canning fruits and vegetables, taking trips to the Jersey Shore, and spending time with their grandchildren in Maine.

She is survived by her loving husband, Denis, her children, David (Erin) Godfrey, Chris Godfrey, stepson, Phil (Megan) Michalski and her grandchildren, Gavin and Charlotte Godfrey. She also leaves behind her mother, Regina, her sister, Cindy (Michael) Jones, her brother, Greg (Rose) Stukowski, several nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 AM on Tuesday, June 14th at St. Bridget University Parish, 125 Church St. Glassboro, NJ, with a Mass at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
