Obituary for Stella M. Caruso

Stella M. Caruso age 92, of West Deptford Twp. formerly of Blackwood passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Domenick Caruso and Elizabeth (Tenuto). Stella enjoyed playing cards, dancing, cooking, and baking. She was always the center of attention at every party and outing. Stella always argued with family over her homemade gravy and told them that hers was the best. She was a member of Church of the Incarnation, prayed every day and collected angels. No matter how difficult the situation she was in, Stella always was able to put a smile on her face. Now, not only can she walk again she can fly.

Stella is survived by many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law, Charles Burgese, her sister-in-law, Mina (formerly Caruso) and close friends, Virginia "Ginny" King and Frank & Diane Warner. She is predeceased by her siblings, Victoria Caude & her husband Jack, Caroline Macolgan & her husband Teenie, Theresa Cimino & her husband George, Elizabeth Romeo & her husband Domenick , Mildred Burgese, Charlie Caruso & his wife Madeline, Tommy "Reds" Caruso and her special friend Carmen Branco.

Family and Friends may visit from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 2nd, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 2nd, at Church of The Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Woolwich Twp., NJ.
