Obituary for Thomas P. McCloskey

Thomas P. McCloskey age 63, of "Oak Valley" Deptford Twp. passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020. Born in Philadelphia to the late John P. McCloskey and Joan (Connor), he graduated from Deptford High School Class of 1975. Tom served in the US Navy and worked at Franklin Smelting and Refining Corp. where he was a Health & Safety Director. He was an avid Golfer and was a member of Westwood Country Club in West Deptford. Tom coached Oak Valley Little League and basketball. More recently he began teaching his grandson how to play golf. Tom was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed spending time down in Wildwood, NJ. Most of all he loved his family and adored his children and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kimberly McCoskey (Butler), two children, Jami Knight and her husband David of Glassboro, Richard Czop of Wenonah, two grandchildren, David & Jonathan Knight and two brothers, John McCloskey Jr., and Tim McCloskey and his wife Kimberly.

Family and Friends may visit from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, October 1st and 9 AM to 10:15 AM on Friday, October 2nd at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday at Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret's Church, 845 Third Street Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097. Military Honors will be held after Mass and interment will be private. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to Infant Jesus Parish and/or the American Cancer Society.
