Obituary for Vernon Curtis "Vern" DeSilva

Vernon Curtis DeSilva "Vern" age 73, of Mount Royal passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. He was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad to the late Arnott DeSilva and Mary (Alowsingh). Vern worked as a welder & assembler at We-Com, Inc. in Glassboro. He was a member of Gloucester County Community Church in Washington Twp. and enjoyed serving communion there. He loved playing the piano and guitar. Vern also enjoyed cooking and joking around with his grandkids. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Vern is survived by his wife, Patsy (nee Karansingh), children, Sherri DeSilvio (Bruce), Katherine DeSilva (Kevin Outten) and Denise Sosnowicz (Michael II), grandchildren, Danielle DeSilvio, Dominic DeSilvio, and Michael Sosnowicz III, and brothers, Rudolph, George, David, and Michael. He was predeceased by his sisters, Vilma, and Verna.

Family and Friends may visit from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm on Saturday, June 19th, at Gloucester County Community Church Chapel, 359 Chapel Heights Rd., Sewell, NJ where a memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm.
