Vito S. Patten Jr. “Petey” age 67, of Sewell passed Friday, March 10, 2023. Born in Camden, NJ to the late Vito S. Patten Sr. and Bertha (nee Zane), he was a graduate of Kingsway High School. He was the owner of Vito Patten Heavy Hauling. He worked hard every day. In his downtime, Pete could be found out back at the grill, surrounded by his dogs, listening to the Phillies or Eagles.

Petey had a nickname for just about everyone. If you don’t know what yours is, maybe you’re better off! He could be quite witty.

He is survived by his companion of 24 years, Kathleen Pontelandolfo, and by his children Sara Riggleman (Jim), Justin Gibson, Missy Patten, Vito Patten III (Nicole Ferretti) and bonus dad to Ashley McKinney and her kids. Petey was Grandpop to 12 grandchildren. Loving brother to Mack Patten, Barbara & Bill Luciano, Linda (Ed, predeceased) Mitchell, Vita & Lew Gentry, Calvin & Linda Patten and Steve Patten (Sheila Nunes).

Family & Friends may visit from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 14th, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ and from 9:30 am to 10:45 am on Wednesday, March 15th, at Church Of The Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral Mass will be held at 11 am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Blackwood, NJ.
