Joseph G. Montanaro age 85, formerly of Mantua passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Isanti, Minnesota. Joseph spent his career as owner of the Mantua Jewelers. He served in the US Marine Corp. and was an active member of Mantua Lions Club and past Master of the Mantua Masonic Lodge. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family as well as golfing and going to his Pocono home.

Husband of the late Pearl Montanaro, he is survived by his sons, David J. (Dawn) of Mantua, Michael D. of Columbus, Ohio, Grandsons, Daniel (Gina) & Matthew (Meaghann) Montanaro. Great Granddaughters, Grace, Gianna, & Genevieve. Joe was also survived by his loving fiancee and companion Kathleen Marron of Minnesota.

Relatives and friends may visit from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, August 19th, and 10 to 11 AM Thursday, August 20th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM.
