Not sure how many of you knew Gene 'Oh' Timmons but he did my first trip back  to Vietnam and quick became a true and loyal friend. He passed away yesterday at home about 3 hours after we spoke and gave no indication of his feeling bad.
Gene supported our company Vietnam Battlefield Tours, and encourage all Vietnam veterans to look at us first.

He was a really medically abused Marine at the hands of the VA although not a complainer by nature he never turned anyone away who sought his help with processing VA claims. One should think about elections and voting the status que.   He made a special trip back  for my wedding in DaNang to be my best man.  I was a small chapter in Gene's life but he'll always be a big chapter in mine.

This should be an Alert Warning to all Marines, when the God squad comes down to get the best of the best we should all be ready.  Gene loved God, The Marines and his family and am sure he is back in dress blues manning the front gate.
