Anthony J. Schiavo, age 83 of Mantua, passed away on May 16th, 2014. Born in Philadelphia he retired as Vice President for Sexauer in Scarsdale, NY. He enjoyed playing poker, darts, reading, and volunteering at Underwood Hospital. Anthony especially enjoyed studying Native American History. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Husband of the late Lois Ann Schiavo (nee Mozer), he is survived by his daughters, Michele Schiavo of Williamstown, Diane Klein & her husband Steve of Collingdale, PA, Deborah Seifert of Alexandria, VA, his sons, Stephen Schiavo of Dover, NY, & Anthony Schiavo of Shelton, CT, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his brother Joseph Schiavo, and his sisters, Rose Schiavo Pitzo, & Delores Schiavo Zappasodi, and his loving companion, Kathleen Shaw. Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Schiavo & Louise (nee Traviglione), his brother, Peter Schiavo, his sister, Jennie Schiavo Taylor, & son-in-law, Stanley Seifert.

Relatives & friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 20 from 9 to 10:30 AM at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main St., Mantua at 11 AM.
