B. Clare Smith (nee Thomsen), age 93 of Pitman, NJ died Saturday, June 14, 2008. A retired embroidery operator, she had worked for Art Embroidery in Philadelphia. As a child she spent time at Presbyterian Orphanage and she lived in Norristown and Bridgeport, Pa in her younger years before coming to Pitman.

She is survived by sons Louis Lawless of Eagleville, PA, and Daniel Lawless and his wife Mary of Lansdale, PA, daughters Barbara Van Meter and her husband Maris of Somers Point, NJ and Bonnie MacKenzie of San Francisco, CA, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jay Walter Smith, Jr., children, James & Clare Lawless, brother, Louis Thomsen and sister, Hazel Anderson.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family 10 - 11 AM Friday, June 20 at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ where funeral services will be held at 11 AM.
