Betty Jean Benash, (Reeves), 85, lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was a beloved resident of Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston Ma .

She leaves her son Chet Benash and his wife Kathy, her grandchildren Randi and Stephanie and two great grandsons Colton and Hunter, her sisters-in-law Elaine Benash and Francis Reeves , nieces and nephews and many friends.

Born and raised in Pitman she spent her married life in Sewell NJ and was involved in many activities while raising her son. She was a member of Pitman Methodist Church and also attended the Mantua Methodist Church.

She met the love of her life Fred Benash in high school, married, had a son and spent her life caring for her family. She loved baking, knitting and sewing. She welcomed many to a home cooked meal and a delicious glass of iced tea. Betty was a gracious hostess to all who sat at her table from relatives to Chet’s college buddies and most recently her granddaughters’ friends. She will be remembered, by many, for her kindness and her beautifully made crafts.,

Year after year she enjoyed those lazy summer days by the pool surrounded by those loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, August 29th, at at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM.
