You were my guide through the difficult path of growing up and the quintessential big brother. You taught me how to tie my shoes, ride a bike, drive a car and so much more. We teased each other relentlessly as siblings often do, but I was always very proud to be your sister. I looked up to you in so many ways and you always carried yourself with reverence and dignity. As time went by, our closeness seemed to dissipate, but my love and admiration for you never did. When my son was born, I gave him your middle name as an homage to you even though we hadn’t spoken in years. Before you were ever a husband, father or grandfather, you were my big brother. You were part of the foundation that defines who I am and nothing can ever change that. Rest in peace, Charles Patrick Power, you were definitely one of the good guys.
